Seating area very small. NO Toilet which was a major issue. Will not go again for that reason.
Excellent locally owned & operated bakery, with a pleasant looking cafe section. Wide range of freshly baked bread, sweets & savouries..
All organic bread and you can reserve a loaf. Some seating, selection of groceries on offer.
Compared to bakeries on the continent in countries like France, Austria, Germany and Italy, the standard at Judges is clearly not on the same level. That the British do not know how to make a decent loaf of bread is regrettably a common place issue, and Judges Bakery, whether it is harsh to say or not, would be well advised to take a short trip to a city like Vienna, in order to taste how bread should be. That said, considering how utterly awful the bread is in the likes of Tesco etc., one can find bread of adequate quality in Judges Bakery, albeit a little dry. stodgy and of lacklustre flavour.
A few reasonable pastries but nothing special for the high prices they charge. The place has an 'alternative' organic feel to it but beware: most of the meat isn't even free-range. And when asked if a product is free-range or organic, the staff don't seem to know or care. The staff are never very welcoming anyway; in all the years I've been coming here I've never had a 'hello' or even an acknowledging look upon entering. I only go in if I really need something.
