The house-brewed beers are excellent. Have also enjoyed simple but tasty meals here more than once.

Superb! Great food and award winning ale brewed by the pub. All food is cooked to order from fresh ingredients from a carefully chosen menu at reasonable prices. After leaving a pleasant walk around old Hastings is the cherry on the cake. The First in Last Out is well worth it. David.Bower
Lovely traditional pub. The ales were all excellent (brewed on site I believe). The one down point is that it did get a hot with the open fire blazing but it was a really nice feature having it in the middle of the room.
My favorite English pub since my dad introduced me back in the 1990's.Always great beer. Had the Monday night tapas tonight, delicious.
