The service is absolutely rubbish! After my cervical screening in November I had to chase my results. I've received them in January, however that's a small issue.My partner is struggling to get an appointment for nearly two weeks because he is bleeding heavily from his nose. It happens suddenly, sometimes during his sleep. However, he's been to the pharmacy, they couldn't help, he's been to A&E but they told him to go to the GP for further checks because he needs to be seen by a specialist and the hospital is not able to send the referral.The GP should he the one that could refer him but only if we could get an appointment .....but that's another story !He called Beaconsfield Surgery in advance but they keept saying to him that he should call in the day when he wants the appointment. He did that too....called first in the morning at 8:30 but by the time he got on the line 12 minutes later, the receptionist told him that all the appointments are gone. This is outrageous! After all this hustle, we received a letter today from the surgery which says that they will remove my partner from their list because he was rude with the receptionist and caused her distress. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!!?!? What about all the frustration that my partner has to put up with?! The fact that he needs medical help is not something that you should prioritise?? Do you have a duty of care?!? Why people are still able to register with your surgery but you cannot offer them any appointments??! Why are you accepting new patients if you cannot even accommodate the existing ones?! You should ashamed of yourself!
The receptionist at the Beaconsfield road site are very nice. BUT if you need to see a doctor at the doctors surgery at Beaconsfield road and like me are poor and disabled then the words youll be lucky come to mind and you can get sent to different surgeries. My biggest problem with this surgery is they are supposed to be sending my prescriptions to the pharmacy so it sounds simple, wrong they dont keep sending them each week, the prescriptions today have been printed out at the wrong surgery, every week I have the same issue, if its not printed out at the wrong surgery then its not printed at all. I cant walk far, but now Im going to have to go out and struggle because the doctor is so blooming useless. My prescriptions are supposed to be delivered and yet again its mucked. This is every week, this is not fair. Go to another surgery and save yourself a lot of tears and a lot of time wasting.

Pleasant staff but the old building and difficulty getting appointments there brings it down. Also waited over a year for a referral but when I moved out to Broad Oak their referral came through within a couple of months and they chased it up whereas Beaconsfield just told me to ring the hospital. Whether this is a reflection on the lack of concern of the surgery or just on the Conquest hospital is difficult to ascertain as my eventual referral was at Eastbourne General Hospital.Wasn't happy being told that I had to wait outside with my 7 year daughter in the snow at -2 degrees when trying to get to see her doctor for a suspected skin infection was not impressive. Ended up taking her to my own doctor in Broad Oak without any hassle.
Have been registered with the GP practice for over 8 years and have never been disappointed by their care and service. Always able to prove prompt appointments for me and my family. Freindly helpful staff from Recpectionist through to the GP.
